D-Day Experience
Dead Man’s Corner Museum
Dead Man’s Corner Museum
“Hello, I am Colonel Wolverton, an American paratrooper with a tragic destiny. I will be your guide in an immersive 3D version throughout these 2000 m2 of museum blockbusters in the heart of the Normandy landings.
If you dare, I invite you to relive the mythical crossing of June 6, 1944 aboard my plane, ‘Stoy Hora’.
Climb aboard this real C-47, heading for Normandy on this fateful night of D-Day. As soon as my 3D briefing has passed, you are ready to board the plane. Take off, and for 10 minutes, you are the parachutist! In the company of 26 of your comrades, you fly over the English Channel and Normandy during a tumultuous flight. The gusts of the DCA brush against you, the tremors are felt, the smells, the noise of the engines, the explosions, everything is done to make you relive what we, the guys of the 101st Airborne, experienced during this legendary crossing . So fasten your seat belts, we’ll take off! “
D-Day Experience is not only an attraction, it is also an exhibition space for pieces of exceptional rarity. First, discover the preparations for the D-Day landings through objects that belonged to the men who fought for our freedom. Their story is told to you through the eyes of Colonel Wolverton who helps you better understand the issues and the state of mind in which each of the soldiers who participated in these events was.
Solution:
- Realization of several sequences in computer-generated images broadcast instead of the windows of a real C47 mounted on hydraulic cylinders.
- Sensation and emotion guaranteed!
