Project Description
Multimedia Guide
Louvre Lens
Louvre Lens
The Louvre-Lens Multimedia Guide accompanies visitors through the Grand Gallery, the Glass Pavilion and the temporary exhibition gallery.
To reproduce their visit experience as closely as possible, a 3D immersion in the Galerie du temps is offered as the main interface, it allows access to the different audio or video content depending on where you are and works that we really have before us.
The various multimedia mediation devices are offered in the temporary exhibitions of the Louvre-Lens. Integrated into the tour, these devices offer keys to understanding that accompany the discovery of the works. Whether it is to let yourself be told a story or to interact yourself, the experiences offered are varied.
Objectives: To
guide and offer multimedia content in 4 languages to visitors to the Louvre Lens museum.
Allow the museum to easily update the 2000 museum guides.
Solutions:
This multimedia guide, produced in collaboration with Orange and Art Graphique et Patrimoine, presents many innovations such as 3D navigation, taking NFC into account to locate oneself, automatic synchronization with updated content via a web back-office and the provision of an interface for the blind.
reading QRCode makes it possible to associate a visit with an identifier that allows the user to find these favorite works by connecting to the website of the museum
Technologies:
The application was developed with Unity3D and deployed on Android smartphones. The Unity application uses many modules developed with the native Android SDK in order to use specific functionalities such as the camera or the NFC sensor as well as the synchronization of the database.
